The most fantastic gift of all.

well iv been a bit quiet lately ....and there is good reason for that. This Christmas has been magical .My best Christmas ever!

Christmas Eve and Christmas day were a jolly, traditional affair , we watched a Christmas film and read "The night before Christmas" , we left out treats for st Nicholas and the reindeer and were woken by exited little ones. The children were all delighted to recieved the gifts they had asked for and a few extra surprises. we enjoyed our roast turkey dinner and had a lovely day.

I always look forward to boxing day .A day to relax and we usually have my mum and dad round for an hour or two or we go there .
But the main emphasise is just relaxing and enjoying the day after a sometimes hectic loud Christmas day.

well now let me tell you there were four hours of contractions and relaxing wasnt really on the menu !

yes boxing day was the day that our very eagerly awaited baby decided to put in an appearance.

Robbie was born at home with two midwife's in attendants. One of whom is a very special lady who upon hearing i was in labour sped from the hospital to deliver our gorgeous boy.I was in tears when she called totally out of the blue to  say she was on her way. Christina was a student midwife when  she delivered Eva , we were her first home birth .ee have  stayed in contact since and had thought due to insurance issues that although we both really wanted it she wouldn't be able to deliver our newest addition .However it was like a dream come true and and she delivered our gorgeous son . i presumed she would have delivered many a home birth baby since Eva , but nope.....Eva and Robbie are very special to her!

Robbie arrived at 3.17pm weighing 6lb 12oz and although he wasn't due untill the seventh of January he clearly wanted to come earth side a little early and enjoy the festivities with us.

I am so in love with this little man . i wish i could bottle his baby smell or slow down the passing of time to keep him from growing up so fast .

As we go in to the new year i am feeling so very blessed. Blessed to have gotten the birth I wanted, blessed to be mummy to six gorgeous children....i have everything i could ever want for.
