With the new month comes new main lesson blocks for Charlie , Gypsie and summer.
Charlie started today listening to a story by Thornton Burgees. "Buster bear goes fishing"
This was received well as he loves fishing!
We attempted to make a fish from beeswax...then decided was just too cold.

Summer began her block.on.Persia .We read about Persia and how it expanded and about the kings then she made a title page and we looked at a map of ancient Persia and discussed how we now call this land Iran.

Gypsie started her block on the life of Christ. She made a title page, we read about how Jesus was born to the virgin Mary and of the journey to Bethlehem for the census.
She wrote out Luke 2:8-11 for writing practice . ( the Angel appearing to the shepherds)
I love gypsies drawings.

Jasmine continues to work on.her astronomy block.
she made a beautiful constilations window art chart.
I will take a picture tomorrow with it hung in the window she's made holes in each piece of paper to mark the stars and then stuck coloured tissue paper behind. i can't wait to see how it will look with the sun behind it.
