Resurrection rolls

Today the children made resurrection rolls.

We gathered around the kitchen table and shared a few special  moments.
Each ingredient was symbolic .The white marshmallow representing pure and good Jesus .The melted butter representing oils and sugar and cinnamon representing the spices used to enbalm bodies. The pastry representing the cloth used to wrap Jesus' body .

Each child took a marshmallow and dipped it to the butter and spiced sugar before wrapping it in croissants pastry (we used just roll croissants pastry)

We placed each one on a foiled baking tray and cooked for ten minites.

Once cooled you will find the marshmallows have melted and you are left with your "empty tomb" resurrection rolls .
